An interesting and pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, yesterday, when Miss Lucy Thrupp, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Thrupp, of Mauriceville, was married to Mr Edward Munn, son of Mr and. Mrs J. Munn, Renall street, Masterton. The Rev. Watson was the officiating clergyman.
The bride, who was given away by Mr J. S. Pinhey, of Masterton, was handsomely attired in a dress of white Japanese silk, trimmed with silk insertion, spotted net and orange blossom sprays, with the usual veil and orange blossoms.
The bride was attended by Misses Hetty Taylforth, Kaituna, and Alice Pinhey, Wellington, as bridesmaids, who were prettily dressed in muslin trimmed with insertion, and wore black picture hats. The best man was Mr H. Davis, Christchurch, and Mr Sidney Munn was groomsman.
After the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in the Exchange Tea Rooms, where a large party sat down to the wedding breakfast. Numerous useful and valuable presents were received.
Mr and Mrs Munn left by the afternoon train for Wellington, en route for Christchurch, where their future home will be.
