A wedding of much interest in social circles was solemnised at St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, on Saturday, when Patrick John, younger son of the Hon. Algernon and Mrs. Borthwick, Woodcote House, Oxon, England, was married to Nancy Hope, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Williams, Te Parae, Masterton. The Rev. E. J. Rich was the officiating clergyman. The three bridesmaids were Miss Joan Williams, Miss Diana Allen (Christchurch), and Miss Kit Ormond (Hawke's Bay). The bridegroom's brother, Mr. A. M. Borthwick, was best man. Messrs. A. C. Williams, R. Wardell, T. Miller, R. and O. Bunny acted as ushers. A reception was held at Te Parae. The guests included Mrs. Ray Buttle (Auckland) the bridegroom's aunt.
