In response to a request from the St Matthew's Tennis Club to have the two big [trees?] around the new court cut back, It was resolved that the Vicar be authorised to get the branches cut back.
It was reported to the Vestry by Mr Hyde that he had been approached by the Operatic Society with a view to getting the Vestry to reconsider their decision refusing to let the Old Parish Hall to the Society. Dr Hosking moved and Mr Clarke seconded That the previous decision of the Vestry be adhered to. Carried.
Mr Hyde moved and Mr Ninnes seconded that the balance of theAll Nations Fair effort amounting to £32 be transferred to the Parish Hall Interest Account.
The Vicar moved, Mr Rosewarne seconded That the Fin Statement as appearing on Page 698 be adopted and accounts appearing thereon passed for payment.
Dr Hosking moved and Mr Clarke seconded That the Curate's stipend be increased by £50 p.a., such increase to take effect from date hereof. Carried.
Messrs Ninnes and Denbee were elected to take up the offertory for March.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
